This frozen Chiquita banana treat is healthy, fool-proof and so easy to make. The best part about this recipe is that even if the banana slices don't look perfect, they still taste just as good!
Ingredients
- 1 Banana
- Hazelnut Spread, such as Nutella
Note
Instead of slicing the banana, you could also leave the banana whole and place a popsicle stick in one end and freeze it whole. Try it with apple slices, too!
Directions
| Step 1 | |
| Cut the Chiquita banana into 1-1/2 inch pieces. Place them on a plate, and stick a toothpick into the center of each piece. Freeze the banana pieces for 1 – 2 hours so that the banana pieces are hard enough to spread Nutella around. | |
| Step 2 | |
| Remove the slices from the freezer. Using a knife, spread the Nutella around the banana slices. You can use as much Nutella as you’d like. You can cover just the sides or cover the sides and the top and bottom. This is the fun part that the kids like to help with! | |
| Step 3 | |
| Place the covered banana pieces on wax paper on another plate, and place them back in the freezer until frozen solid, about 4 hours or so. | |
