DIY Chiquita Banana Sugar Scrub
We already know that Chiquita bananas are nutritious for the body, packed with vitamins and all that good stuff, but did you know that you can also use them as a natural body scrub? I love experimenting with homemade body products and I’ve found that bananas, mixed with a little sugar, make for a gentle and yummy smelling exfoliate. After you make up a batch up Chiquita banana pancakes and Chiquita banana yogurt pops, mush up an extra banana for a little facial. Because this recipe doesn’t contain any preservatives (a good thing in my book), you have to use this mixture as soon as you make it. Only make as much as you need. While you’re at it, try my homemade candy cane peppermint scrub and lavender bath salt recipes.
Ingredients Needed:
1 Chiquita banana
1 1/2 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon essential oil (optional)
Instructions:
1. Mash a ripe Chiquita banana with a fork until smooth.
2. Mix white sugar and brown sugar with the mashed banana. Don’t over mix.
3. Use immediately on body and face (avoiding eyes).
