Help! My Girls Took Over My Computer and Wrote A Blog Post!

The BusinessLila: Hi! I’m Lila…

The BusinessMia: And I’m Mia! We are twins.

Lila: That’s true. But I’m the oldest so I’m the boss.

Mia: Except when Ethan is around, then he’s the boss.

Lila: Yeah, he’s our big brother and he really bosses us around. He also likes to play rough with us even though Mommy tells him not to.

Mia: He doesn’t listen very well. Sometimes Mommy says “Did you hear me? Are you just ignoring me?” I think he ignores her.

Lila: We do too sometimes. Because sometimes she tells us “No! No!” when we are doing fun stuff. We think it’s fun but she says we are just little Tasmanian Devils who make messes, leave the scene, and go find more things to mess up.

This is the kind of stuff we do that drives our Mommy crazy. We put lotion in our hair. And sometimes we put baby oil, too.

Mia: You know what is fun? Throwing stuff in the toilet.

Lila: Yeah! And unwinding the toilet paper roll. And trying to flush our diapers. Did you guys know that doesn’t work?

Mia: Mommy REALLY gets mad when we play in the bathroom.

Lila: But we like to do other stuff too. We like to eat Chiquita bananas. And raisins. And grapes. And I don’t like to share mine.

Mia: Yeah, you don’t share and  you try to eat mine too!

Lila: We eat so many Chiquita bananas that my mom says we’re gonna turn into monkeys!

Mia: We just recently started talking. We talk a lot. And say “Why?” a lot. And ask a lot of questions.

Lila: Tater knows all the answers to our questions! He knows everything.

Mia: Mommy says he thinks he knows everything.

Lila: Yeah, and she says that we have a lot more to learn before we know everything. She said that she doesn’t even know everything! But I think she does.

Mia: SHHHHH! What’s that? I think Mommy’s coming! Or is it Tater?

Lila: Well if it’s Tater, he can help us find a mess to make, right?

Mia: Let’s go find out!

Note: Although this post wasn’t really written by my 2-1/2 year old twins, they did inspire it! In fact, I started a series on my blog called The Bidness that is “written” entirely by them. I always wonder what goes through their little heads and this is my take on what they might say if I let them write a blog post!

Natalie is a SAHM of three children: her 4-year-old son and 2-year-old twin girls. She's also proud to call herself a Charter Chiquita Mom. She writes Mommy of a Monster and Twins, which is all about the day-to-day chaos that comes with chasing three kids in three different directions, usually all at the same time. In her free time, which she rarely has anymore, she reads, writes, cooks, gardens, drinks wine, and works as a freelance writer.
